ABOUT Dr. Chris McClean
Dr. Chris McClean is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist who specializes in comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological assessment for adolescents and adults. His areas of expertise include diagnostic assessments for ADHD, learning differences, the subtle presentations of adult ASD, personality disorders, and achieving diagnostic clarity in complex cases.
Dr. McClean’s evaluations help clients and families gain a deeper understanding of patterns in mood, thinking, and behavior. By translating assessment data into clear and actionable insights, his assessments provide individualized treatment and education/workplace recommendations, while also fostering personal growth and development. Each assessment is guided by his goal of helping clients feel understood and supported in making sense of their experiences.

In addition to his private practice at Empire Assessment, Dr. McClean serves as Director of Psychological Assessment at Pace University, where he oversees assessment services at The McShane Center and supervises clinical training.
His professional interests include increasing access to care for racial-ethnic and sexual minority youth, improving assessment of ADHD and autism, and training clinicians to provide multiculturally informed care.
