ABOUT Dr. Rachit Bhatt
Dr. Rachit Bhatt received his doctoral degree in Combined School-Clinical Child Psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University. Throughout his doctoral training, he provided psychological assessment services for underrepresented populations throughout the New York Metro Area, including community mental health centers, hospitals, and schools.
Currently, Dr. Bhatt works as a psychologist at New York Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital in their pediatric outpatient department providing evidence-based therapy for children that present with a wide array of internalizing and externalizing concerns. He also is an Instructor at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and provides supervision to psychology interns conducting diagnostic evaluations.
Dr. Bhatt completed his APA-accredited predoctoral internship at Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center, where he was extensively trained in assessment and psychotherapy with adolescents and young adults. His postdoctoral fellowship was completed at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt lake City, Utah where he conducted psychological evaluations for children in outpatient and inpatient settings. While in Utah, Dr. Rachit Bhatt also worked as a psychology resident at Milestone Neurodevelopmental Center, where he provided psychological evaluations for individuals with neurodevelopmental concerns across the lifespan.
His professional interests include increasing access to care for racial-ethnic and sexual minority youth, improving assessment of ADHD and autism, and training clinicians to provide multiculturally informed care.
