ABOUT Keara Meyerson
Keara Meyerson is a relational and strengths-based Mental Health Counselor who believes in working collaboratively with her clients at their own pace. She believes the client-therapist relationship is significant and works from the start to create a warm and safe environment that fosters a strong bond. It is important to her that clients feel comfortable and heard as they express their fears and goals, some of which they might have never shared with others. Keara strives to empower individuals to examine their relationship with themselves and others, develop coping skills and strategies, and learn how to communicate more effectively.
Keara earned her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from New York University, where she gained invaluable skills while working with adolescents at Vibrant Emotional Health. Before graduate school, she earned her bachelor’s degree in education and psychology from the University of Virginia.
Keara utilizes an integrative approach to therapy and collaborates with her child, adolescent, and adult clients to create individualized treatment plans. She draws from a range of modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). Keara works to guide her clients safely and empathetically through the therapeutic process of self-exploration, understanding that this can be a profoundly difficult, yet fulfilling, experience.
