ABOUT Zarin Yaqubie
Zarin Yaqubie is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who brings an eclectic lens to her therapy practice. With a deep understanding of each individual’s unique and complex clinical needs, Zarin fosters an attuned and interactive therapeutic relationship. She firmly believes that therapy provides a powerful space to explore and overcome life stressors and deeply-rooted patterns, leading to more fulfilling and meaningful life experiences.
Having earned her graduate degree from Fordham University and her undergraduate degree from Long Island University, Zarin has cultivated a strong foundation of knowledge and skills to support her clients effectively. Drawing from her Muslim faith, and fluent in both English and Dari, Zarin provides culturally sensitive therapy to support clients on their journey toward growth. In the initial session, Zarin focuses on building a genuine connection and gaining a comprehensive understanding of her clients’ motivations for seeking help and change. She tailors her approach to address individual needs, striking a balance between reflective insights and solution-oriented strategies. Zarin’s guidance is always client-centered, ensuring that her clients feel heard and empowered throughout the therapeutic process.
Zarin utilizes evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) .
