Ashlesha Purohit, MHC-LP is dedicated to supporting individuals as they navigate the complexities of identity, healing, and relationships. She has worked with LGBTQIA+ individuals, people of color, and immigrant communities, providing a culturally humble space where the nuances of lived experience are deeply honored.
Ashlesha’s therapeutic style is collaborative and responsive, prioritizing the relational bond between counselor and client. Understanding that starting therapy can feel daunting, she utilizes a partially structured approach to ensure clients know what to expect while maintaining the flexibility to meet them at their own pace. Her practice is firmly grounded in trauma-informed care, creating a container where clients can safely explore everything from personal history to contemporary political anxieties.
Integrating evidence-based strategies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), she also incorporates somatic approaches to help clients connect deeply connect with their emotions and experiences.
