ABOUT Flor Villagrán
Flor Villagrán is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has amassed several years of experience providing clients with psychotherapy in both English and Spanish. Her work has given her the opportunity to serve adult individuals looking to work on Anxiety, Trauma, PTSD, Low Self-Esteem, Depression, Grief and Bereavement, Relationship Issues, Phobias, Family Issues, and Panic Attacks. She has also worked with individuals facing difficult and life-altering events, such as abuse, neglect, immigration, learning a new language and culture, or starting a new school or job.
Understanding that we all grapple with internal, interpersonal, and professional struggles, Flor’s primary objective is to ensure clients feel that their sessions are a dedicated space and time for them. Flor offers non-judgmental space to meet the needs of her clients, allowing them to express their innermost thoughts and feelings.
Flor incorporates a variety of therapeutic modalities into her practice, tailoring her approach to best meet the needs of each individual. She’s extensively trained and experienced in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing techniques to foster clients’ intrinsic motivation to change unhelpful behaviors. Flor also explores how past experiences might be influencing current behaviors and emotions, assisting clients in gaining self-awareness and resolving internal conflicts.
