ABOUT Sanjana Utiramerur
Sanjana Utiramerur is a Licensed Master Social Worker who believes therapy should center around empathy, authenticity, and collaboration. She prioritizes creating a warm and supportive environment where clients feel safe sharing their experiences without judgment. Her approach is grounded in curiosity and compassion, helping clients explore how past experiences and relationships shape present patterns.
Sanjana works with adolescents, adults, and couples navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, cultural identity, and self esteem. Drawing from a strengths-based and holistic perspective, she integrates psychodynamic therapy with evidence-based approaches such as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and cognitive behavior therapy (CBT). Her work is trauma-informed and flexible, creating space for both insight and skill-building in a way that feels meaningful and relevant to each client.
Sanjana earned her Master of Social Work from Columbia University and her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology from New York University. She has experience working with OCD, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and navigating immigrant and first-generation experiences. She believes that everyone deserves a space where they feel genuinely seen and supported.
